Based on a lesson request submitted by a student via SkiNext, Skicentrum Heemskerk assigns the student to a lesson package through the lesson reservation system.
Placement by our staff in a specific lesson group is based on a lesson request form filled out by the student via our website (SkiNext). The purpose of this form is to determine the student’s level, start date, preferred time, and lesson package.
In all cases, the student remains responsible for the placement criteria they have entered, which the system uses for placement. If, during the first lesson, it becomes apparent that the student has been placed below or above their level, Skicentrum Heemskerk reserves the right to reassign the student to a different group, even if this means that any subsequent lessons take place on a different day, at a different time, and/or are taught by a different instructor. In such a case, the student is obligated to accept this adjustment. Upon receipt of the lesson card, the student’s reservation is final. As a result, the student has entered into an obligation to pay the lesson fees.
By accepting the lesson package indicated by Skicentrum Heemskerk’s reservation system, the student agrees that: Skicentrum Heemskerk is obligated to provide the lesson package. The student must pay the full amount for the booked lesson package in advance via invoice, Ideal through SkiNext, or by debit card/cash at the front desk.
Skicentrum Heemskerk reserves the right to reschedule lessons—possibly with a different instructor or group of students—in cases of force majeure. Students are required to accept such changes.
All communication regarding lessons takes place through SkiNext; both parties can send messages using the chat feature, and you’ll receive an email notification whenever a message is posted.
The listed lesson rates are per person per hour, in three 10-minute sessions, except for the penguin lessons, which consist of a single 30-minute session. The rates include the use of equipment.
The classes booked may only be attended by the person in whose name the class was booked.
If you are unable to attend, booked lessons may be canceled up to 24 hours before the lesson begins, in which case no refund will be issued. The canceled lesson may be rescheduled for another time; you must make your own arrangements for this, subject to the availability offered by Skicentrum Heemskerk.
If a booked lesson is canceled within 24 hours of the start of the lesson, the lesson will be forfeited.
If the canceled class is not made up by the end of the season in which it was booked and canceled—which ends in mid-May of each calendar year—the right to the class expires, and no refund of the class fee will be granted.
A full course must be canceled at least 5 business days before the first class begins.
Students must arrive 15 minutes before the start of class.
Heemskerk Ski Center requires everyone to wear a helmet.
Skicentrum Heemskerk accepts no liability whatsoever for: The student shall be responsible for the costs of all judicial and extrajudicial measures that the student deems useful or necessary to enforce his or her rights under this agreement.
In cases not covered by these terms and conditions, the management of Skicentrum Heemskerk reserves the right to make a different decision, based on principles of reasonableness and fairness.
