Ski teams - Ski Center Heemskerk

Ski teams

One of the aims is to introduce children to competition skiing in a playful manner. We also want to bring the children up to a higher technical level so that they can easily enter, for example, a ski course later on. The main goal, of course, remains to have fun with skiing!

“To ski is having fun!”

All ski club teams consist of 6 to 8 children and one trainer. The team you join depends on your technical level and age. We work with fixed periods. These periods are usually from holiday to holiday (6 weeks on average).

The structure

For the very youngest (4 - 7 years) there is "The Penguin Club" on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons. From the age of 6 children can also join the regular lessons. When the children have reached a certain level, they can join the Ski Teams.

Once a week you train on the roller track at Skicentrum Heemskerk. With a minimum purchase of 2 periods. You can book extra snow training periods by signing up for one of the team weekends.

Snow training

Several times a year we organise a weekend of training in one of the snow halls in the Netherlands or Belgium. During this training children can get to know slalom skiing. We train on real poles (stubbies). Is this the stepping stone to a real race team like Ski Racing Heemskerk (SRH)? More info on request via [email protected]

Ski Racing Heemskerk

This is an independent organisation that functions in an association form for competition skiers. The children of Ski Racing Heemskerk train twice a week this season. Depending on their age and the programme they have taken, they stay in the Alps for 2 to 9 weeks. They ski races on all levels: from regional to national and sometimes even international!
